According to him, measures should be put in place to eschew the betrayal and disgrace that the party subjected the president to in the just ended parliamentary and presidential elections.

“JDM will not contest till we put a lot of things in place to avoid another betrayal and humiliation”, he said.

In his view, many party members have been left hungry, neglected and jobless for long especially the grassroots questioning how the party will be able to bring all on board ahead of the 2020 elections.

“Ladies and gentlemen, if we all don’t do some careful introspection and openly show remorse for the betrayal of the people’s trust, we might recover in time for the next elections.”

He has, therefore, called for “some careful introspection” in order to get the party he founded back on track before the next general elections.

“I will urge the NDC to stop considering the President for 2020 because he won’t win and can never win an election again. Those campaigning for him to be brought back should stop because if they succeed in getting him lead the NDC in 2020, NDC will lose again and they will be in opposition for a long time,”
