Aspiring National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party, Freddie Blay, says his party is hoping to stay in power for the next 60 years.
Speaking at the party’s National Delegate’s Conference in Koforidua on Saturday, Freddie Blay said: “It is our hope and the President keeps telling us that we want to stay in power not for eight years but for more than 60 years come the years that we look forward to.”
Former President John Dramani Mahama has denied reports that he is considering former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana Dr Johnson Asiama as his running mate for the 2020 elections.
Newly elected Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Freddie Worsemawu Blay has sent a note of caution to their opponents indicating that the New Patriotic Party is determined to win election 2020 and beyond.

As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares for its National Congress in Koforidua at the weekend, the streets of Koforidua and its suburbs have been adorned with the Party colours with billboards and posters of aspirants contesting for various positions in the Party.
