Source: 3news. com - Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament and one of the frontrunners in the party’s presidential race Professor Joshua Alabi has categorically rejected claims that he has endorsed a candidate for the 2020 contest.
The former minister of state, Professor Alabi says reports making rounds in the media about him endorsing Former President John Mahama are misleading as they are messages of solidarity for the former NDC leader prior to the 2016 polls.
But after the elections, he says what he has said about Mr Mahama is that the results of the 2016 elections should be seen as the voice of the people and “the voice of the people is the voice of God”.
The former Vice Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) further added that he would soon make his position known over the party’s presidential primary after the restructuring process is completed.
The NDC cadre said his fans and supporters should remain calm over the recent reports.
He said those spreading false reports about him endorsing any potential candidate should desist from such action and rather help in building the party to return to power in 2020.
