Pa Nduom: The PPP will remain united and grow stronger ahead of the next general elections in 2020.
Source: citifmonline. com - The 2016 flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Papa Kwesi Nduom has expressed optimism that Ghanaians will reward the party with victory in the country’s subsequent general elections.
Mr Nduom who polled about 1 percent of the total valid votes cast in the 2016 presidential elections said although the party did not win the elections, it had demonstrated to Ghanaians that it was a peace-loving, disciplined and respectful party with great ideas and solutions for the country’s challenges.
Mr Nduom noted that the PPP will remain united and grow stronger ahead of the next general elections in 2020. In a Facebook post on Friday, he said ” We will continue to be advocates for our unique non-negotiable policies because, without them, the standard of living of our people, our quality of life and development will not improve significantly.”
He insisted that the PPP will work to become a better competitor in the elections and will commence its campaign working with communities to ensure improvements in their lives through private effort in the areas of health, education and job creation.
He stated that the PPP will advocate for policies that include implementation of Free Compulsory Basic Education (FCUBE), accelerate job creation programs, elect district, municipal and metropolitan chief executives, provision of tax incentives to enable development of alternative sources of fuel and power – bio fuels and solar among other public sector reforms.
